Aqua Natal & Aqua Gym Classes Spain

Our Aqua Natal classes combine gentle exercise and relaxation to music and are a great way to get to know other ‘mums-to-be’ and share in the excitement of being pregnant.

Groups are small to allow plenty of individual attention and each session is specifically tailored to the take account of the ‘mum-to‑be’s’ level of fitness and their stage of pregnancy.

Most Aqua Natal mums come back to join our baby swim classes when their little ones are born, often with the same friends they made in our Aqua Natal classes.

Our Aqua Natal courses run for 5 weeks, with one 45 minute session per week.

Benefits of Aqua Natal

Even when babies are still in the womb, Aqua Natal exercise in water can help exercise and relax the ‘mum to be’ and therefore ‘baby to be’ also. The benefits of Aqua Natal exercise in water include:

Pregnancy hormones make joints stretched and uncomfortable. Water supports the joints and makes them feel better.

Exercise in water is fun, relaxing, it encourages a better sleep pattern and enhanced self‑esteem.

The weightlessness of the water enhances foetal positioning and frees up pressure on the back.

Helps to reduce varicose veins and swelling in hands and feet.

It is beneficial for your heart and lungs and helps maintain your level of fitness.

It is a calm, gentle, safe way to exercise for both mother and baby.

It is a fun and sociable way to meet other ‘mums‑to be’!

Aqua Natal healthcheck

Before embarking on our program, it is important to consider your current state of health, so that you can comfortably and confidently enjoy our Aqua Natal program. You will be asked to complete a Health Questionnaire when registering onto the Aqua Natal program. Always check with your doctor or midwife and ask for their written approval BEFORE commencing our program if you have any of the following:

heart or breathing problems;

history of previous miscarriages;

spotting or bleeding;

incompetent cervix;

premature labour;

cervical sutures;

a low‑lying placenta;

problems with blood pressure.

Communal exercising would not be appropriate if you have open wounds or infectious diseases. Do not exercise if you have any bleeding or have leaking amniotic fluid.
