swim bebé swim is owned and run by Claire Charnock, married to David and mother of Benjamin (5) and Poppy (2).

Claire has always been a keen swimmer, but caught the baby swim bug when she took her 4-month son Benjamin to baby swim classes.  The results were amazing and within a few weeks Benjamin was swimming short distances independently underwater, even before he could sit up on land! She also made a lot of new friends as small group classes meant parents and babes got to know each other well.

Claire went onto train with the Swim Teachers’ Association (STA) in England and opened swim bebé swim in 2003.

Classes began in Benalmádena and then, as demand warranted, new locations opened in Marbella, Manilva and Estepona.

All swim bebé swim teachers are qualified with the STA as swim teachers, lifesavers and Aquacise instructors. Their qualifications are validated and updated annually when swim bebé swim hosts a STA summer course in Marbella.  STA tutors come from the UK to teach and assess each candidate and these courses are open to other swim teachers in Spain. 

swim bebé swim classes are for 30 minutes, once a week for a 5 week course.  The maximum group size is 6 children, to allow plenty of individual attention and progression within each lesson.

swim bebé swim classes are taught in English, Spanish and French, as required.
